Crazy.
We started with techniques and earlier Mrs. Stancil told us that if we stopped trying that she would stop our belt testing and we would fail...
so i tried to avoid that.
Generally on the techiniques i think i did all right, i got confused at some points and did the wrong technique- idk if that effects my score badly or not...
Then we did forms... grr. Doing white-blue belt forms 2 times over (one with mrs. stancil counting and when on my own.) is kinda tiring! I started white belt with the mindset of do it as perfect as possible because its white belt, by blue belt my mindset was save some energy for brown belt. That was a stupid idea because mrs. stancil let us take a break. Then when we got called up again... i messed up sooo bad. I forgot two moves, forgot to add power then when I realised it tried to do it with power and then messed up my techinique, over and over again till i was done. I dont really know what to think of my form, my friends say it was good, but what are they going to say? "Your form was terrible and you'll probably fail because ur testing for red belt and you looked like a white belt." No, I'm pretty sure if my friends asked if they did bad thats not the answer I would give them.
Then one steps, I don't remember how I did on those. I wasn't told to do anything so I'm assuming all the moves were right, and I wasn't tired so that was pretty easy.
Sparring. :O
Wayyyyyyy easier then I thought it would be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was short and not as stressful as everything else. I fought zach, jeremy, and logan. All of them are taller and better and if it was a real fight and they where trying to hurt me.... no question- i would be down in the first 15 seconds. My mom said I looked "tough" which translated as you got beat up but you took it well.... ok then.
Then a few termonologies with the class, no problem.
That was the end of tuesday testing.
I went home thinking that the worst was over and everything thursday would be a breeze. Yeah- not at all. Bo staff sucked, I screwed up on everything. On the bright side we didnt have to do form, but pretty much everything we went over I didnt remember learning, so I tried to copy steven because he knew what he was doing. Im freaking out because when I pictured myself failing I did not picture it being because of bo staff.
Board breaks- I felt like I was going to throw up. Everyone did really well, we all broke them. Definately not the thing I shoul've been freaking out about. Verses where fine, I think everyone in the class was expecting to do them all together so if you missed one its ok, thats what we did last time. This time we didn't do it one at a time like we used to but it was a smaller group so i'm pretty sure mrs. stancil could hear us. I had to say one verse either two times or three times. The first time I stopped when everyone in the group was saying it because if you miss a part then when you go back and say it all the voices get jumbled up and its confusing, I hope she didnt count that as my first try. Then the second time I paraphrased to much or said it too slowly or something because I had to say it again, after that we said another verse and then we where done.
Demo practice was fun, I love demos, probably because you don't have to test for them.
